Fuels have changed over the years and, without re-tuning, cars don't get their original mileage estimates and fall short of their performance capabilities. Although important to us, life expectancy is not always the goal of original manufacturers.

We have used modified tunes from top-rated tuners in the past and found that dyno-tunes had up-hill preignition issues on 87 octane and were causing engine oil to darken more quickly, which indicated increased engine wear. Transmission shifts were sometimes harsh and up-down shifts didn't seem to happen when they should.

We have 5 GM 3800 cars that we rotate and drive regularily though various road conditions. These are amazing engines that were build for reliability and easy, low cost service. Our tunes help to restore and improve potentials that the factory originally put into these engines.

Our tunes on GM 3800's have a factory like economy mode in the first inch of throttle and increasing performance beyond. Top economy, performance, engine and transmission life is our objective.

Our tunes are designed to maintain or improve your MPG when driving as you were before the re-tune, however, driving more agressively will diminish your MPG.
